What is it about a new bow (new to you) that makes you feel good about archery? I have been playing with a friends Herters Sitka and man it has been just like getting the bug again. Bow was made in 1968. Has a heavy riser but it sure does shoot sweet. Plus it likes heavy arrows so I put away the carbons and pulled out the homemade woodies. Pulled out the tools and made a couple of strings, now I am looking for my cresting jig, and taper plane. See just like being hooked again. The KMAG is green with envy, no wait it was already green!

It's the brand new magic...even if you don't get that brand new bow smell.  :D

Just like having a new girlfriend.
Politically correct is a euphemism for spineless.

My wife can tolerate a new bow. I'm not so sure about a girlfriend. Sounds expensive.  ;)

It's all that and more.  It's the possibility that this might be The Bow.  Much like a truly good woman, a guy might find The Bow only once in a lifetime...
