Now those are arrows! I love the blue and white feathers how do you get them like that? Those would look even better soaked in lung blood!

Made some up for the spring and summer shoots. I score on a few rocks and trees so need some extras. Birch, had a tough time with cresting.  Hard wood also means hard to straighten.  I made up some black X7, they came out real nice.  Shafts are spendy so I better not miss with those.  The blue are the new XX75 they came out with this year. Next batch, some cedar tapers shafts from Kustom King.  Still thinking of the color combination.  I sure like when other Trad Gangers send in pictures of arrows.  Gives great ideas for color and cresting.

I like the blue and white also. I did the same combo on grey shafts. Maybe I will keep these and not sell them. Your right about the photos, many great ideas to try.

Those are beautiful! Much too pretty to shoot. Better make some more for shootin'!

Those are beautiful! I love spliced feathers.

I really like Joe's in the Sponsor's Classified section.  His came out beautiful.  I never would of thought of using the light tan or cream, that they would turn out such a nice color.  The light color on the black X7's was a screw up.  I thought it would come out darker.  The light purple came out better any way, showed up through the feathers.  Next batch I think I will try burning a shorter and less high banana cut. Colors to match a BW PGA

OOOH!  Vry nice. Do you need my mailing address to send them?

Great looking arrows.  How did you splice the feathers?

highcountry

Hello Jon, I'll attempt to make it short.  Need full length feathers. cut and strip the amount of feathers you want to splice in. These I cut out the last 2".  Then take the feather you want to splice in. 2" of another color. Put in a clamp, rub on sand paper till very thin, then glue it in. Easy but time consuming. Regular feathers can be used, but not always a clean fit. Then chop or burn to shape. You can splice in any where you want. When you loose or break an arrow, ouch! Try to get feathers that hve the same quill size. Have fun!
