A couple of my fellow Idaho Trad Gangers and I went out for a great morning of thumping some stumps.  It may be a little bit different stumping here in Idaho than what you are used too... for one it's steep and there aren't quite the number of rotten stumps out west.  Nonetheless, we had a blast on the ridge line above our fair city of Boise, laughed a lot, shot a lot, saw deer, elk and turkey (ok, ok, they were just prints, but still fun to see) and just enjoyed the Idaho spring time sunshine.  Two quality guys, a couple busted arrows and a walk in the woods, what more can a fella want?

The view from above was great!

Myself and Shawn

They KILLED that bottle in the tree... bonus points if you can see my arow in the picture!

Two dead-on accurate Idaho boys, making some stump noise!

Jeff at full draw, Southpaw Shawn looking downrange...

You can't see the stump in this picture, but it is TOAST!

Thanks for a great morning guys!  To all the rest of the Idahoans that missed it, it will happen again, keep looking at the Idaho Thread.  To all the other trad gangers out there, thanks for letting us share our morning with you, wish you were here!

Nothing like getting out on a nice day for some stump killin'.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Looks nice down there, nothing but rain up north here today. I'll be down that way in August for 3 or 4 days chasing antelope. If your not busy, I would be happy to buy you a cup of coffee on the way through. Mike

Elk Ninja,

I live near Horseshoe Bend, and missed the stump shoot this morning due to checking out some some new bear country (bear season is only three weeks away).

I'd like to make the next stump shoot, and invite you guys to some stump shootin' here above Horseshoe Bend. Who knows, we might even nail a ground squirrel or rock chuck or two. . .

Ninja, What arrow and point types do you stump with?  Normal field points?

Thanks

elk ninja

Bent Pole and SOS, my fletching is orange, but it looks red in the pictures.  I was off by a bit... but maybe not as much as the picture looks like.

User name: I use blunts and judos and shoot both flu-flus and shield cut feathers.

Panzer, I have some relatives in Ohio, (Marysville), where you at?

Rik, how did the scouting go?  Sounds like fun coming over "yonder" to H-Bend, never stumpe over there.  And are you the Rik I see in magazines from time to time?

Rik, I need to kn ow about the bears in there!

Username-Mike uses some of those hex blunts. They rock. Also Shawn and Mike were using flu-flu's and I was using shield cut feathers. I wish I would have had some flu-flu's. I was shooting field points and broadheads.
I actually am going to build me some nanners for my next go-round.
And don't let Mike fool you, his shot was on the mark with the bottle shot, the angle of the camera doesn't do it any justice.

Guys------Let's do it again. I have ideas of scouting for lions over here so if you wanna get it done, let me know.
