Here is a picture of my MOAB.  Osage and cocobolo riser with osage veneers.  Great Bow!!

Hello everyone!  I've been lurking quietly for quite awhile, but have a question.

I've been trying to decide between the MOAB and a TS III.  The MOAB is calling to me, but I have a 31" draw length...  Do you think I'd be better off ordering a 66" TS III instead for shooting comfort?  I have a 62" recurve now, and don't experience much fingerpinch, but this will be my first LB.  The feeling would be about the same wouldn't it?

Chris,

That MOAB sure looks familiar!  The whitetails in Michigan are glad to see it back in Iowa.

MOAB's are sure nice. And yes, they are his fastest model bow. I had one made not long ago, however, the handle was just a bit too small in my hand. But that was my fault in not communiting with Jim well I guess. Live and learn. You'll never find a more honest man then Jim.

Terry Green

As far as 'performance'....they 'perform' well for me.    :D

Blackhawk

I picked up one of the prototypes a few years ago which was marked "Thunderstick X" and it is a fantastic performer.

If you are looking for a quality stick at a fair price, why shop around?  You have found it!

Mine was one of the best shooting longbows I have ever shot.  I wish I would have kept it.  Time to look at another.

This is my buck from last year (first trad kill), and my MOAB. Verry nice bow, fast, quiet, smooth and a looker to boot. It's a keeper for sure!

Great bows, plenty fast, smooth draw, love the grip. Terry, please DON'T post a pic of the one with the Tamo Ash veneers, these boys just couldn't handle it  :rolleyes:

JC got a real nice one from me a year or so ago. Was just a little to heavy for my liking at my draw. Still have my eye out for one in a weight I like. Excellent bows.

bayouLBman;
Jim made a prototype in 58" once but the 60" out performed it by a mile and that is as short as he makes them.  60" is plenty short enough for Double Bull blinds and tree stands in the TX brush.
