The April/May issue of Traditional Bowhunter contains an interview with Byron Ferguson written by me.

In addition to being arguably the best longbowman alive, Byron is an incredibly nice fellow, generous of his time and expertise, and great fun to interview.

The interview starts on page 59 and runs to page 65.

Long before I had a chance to talk with Ferguson, I purchased one of incredible shots videos, and that's what prompted to me seek to do the interview with him.

Nice artical I already read mine.I esspecially liked seeing the part about picking a real spot to aim at when it's crunch time. That has helped me out and I've never seen a deer that didn,t have something to aim at.

Been wanting to see his video even more since reading the interview
Shoot straight and have FUN!!

Jock Elliott

I had to go to two stores to find the latest issue of TB. I was looking forward to reading the interview. Good article. Looking forward to watching him shoot next weekend at the Columbus Deer & Turkey Expo in Ohio. When I first started shooting traditional, about 8 or 9yrs ago, his book was a guide for me.

txcookie,   http://www.byronferguson.com   has a link to Zach Ferguson's Z-Bows catalog. If you order a Z-64 model in 66" amo, you'll have one designed very much like the Bear Royal Safari. The differences are you can get 2 choices of wood laminations under clear glass, 5 choices of wood in the riser & the grip is custom-shaped to fit you (you send Zach a tracing of your bow hand). Best of all, even with his recent price increase, Zach's bows still cost less than the Bear Royal Safari. You pay him half down & the other half when your bow is ready to ship. I'm not knocking my Bear Royal Safari, I just have higher praise for my Z-Bow. Byron himself is seen shooting the z-64 in 66" amo on his new Men's Channel tv show "Livin' on the Wildside". Byron did part of his trickshooting at Bloomington, IL show with a Z-58 in 60" amo. Its a radical r/d model, sort of resembling a short Patriot.

Jock, you are right about Byron Furguson. Several years ago he was at an event here in North Carolina. He is a nice guy and is very down to earth. If you didn't see him shoot, you wouldn't guess he had such talent. We were at his booth several times, and he came to our booth. He seems to like what he does, but I never heard him boast about it.

They also put on a great show.

Oh, you wrote a nice article Jock. Did I say that.

Can anyone tell me when Byron's show "Livin on the Wildside" is on? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks.

I think Byron said at the Bloomington, IL show that "Livin' on the Wildside" is in the "off season" & will be back on air sometime this July.

Nice article Jock ! I liked it. Byron is a very humble man from the meetings i've had with him. If you've never seen him shoot go watch one.
It's a great day to be alive !!
