I shoot off a rest set up like Paul told me to back in '88 or so. Wish I could still get the Jennings or Golden Eagle rests he recommended. I used a Flipper II for a long time....now use a Bear Weatherrest 'cause that about all that's left on the market! :(

I have some quilted maple limbs that are stained bocote with sheep tips, I will try to get some pics here shortly...

I'm not sure if these are quilted maple or curly maple, but here's the pics that I promised...finally.

spanish cedar...in the light the grain changes like real dense fur....grain disappears, then comes back dark as you move it in the light.

really special wood. I'm no expert at noise, since I am close to deaf in my left ear, but this bow seems extra quiet to me. Its the 17 inch riser and a 60 inch bow. The riser, as you know, is Midnight Dymondwood. The surprising thing to me is that the riser on this bow is not as heavy as the all bocote exotic FF riser. It's actually just slightly heavier than my Zipper with a quiver of 4 arrows mounted on it, so its not heavy in any sense of the word. Did I mention its quiet?????
