You won't be sorry Ray, it looks waaaay better than the pics. And of course, you know how they shoot   :readit:

JC,

After you posted those pics, several people have requested zebra wood.  I had to go buy another board of zebrawood, that is just right to get cool looking grain under the glass.

You definately got the look right Gregg, I've never seen a better looking cut of wood. Very proud of it...and as I said before, it's a shooter!

Gregg,

I'm glad you found some more Zebrawood and thanks for poking your head in. Now get back to the forms and glue-up process already. July 2008 will be here before you know it.   ;)

Gregg,

yer gonna need some more when my order comes up later this year.  :goldtooth:

Javaman's got fancier stuff than that in his stash so really try and challenge him.  I'm thinking of ordering one with veneers sawn from the cherry tree George Washington cut down, limb cores cut from the handle of John Henry's hammer, a riser cut from a beam of the USS constitution, a solid platinum strike plate (for style), shelf material made from snow leopard fur, tip overlays made from the beak of a giant squid and a string twisted from mammoth hair.  Should be a one of a kind huh Gregg  ;) .

Java Man

JC,

Pignut sent me that nice zebrawood board that is in your bow.  The new board I bought should be just as nice.

Other than that, he should be ignored!    :biglaugh:

Now I gotta get to work on a Deluxe.

Pignut make sure you post some pics when you get that bow.Might want to order one just like it.

Killdeer

Laughing out loud, Pignut! And not too far-fetched for this gang! (You left out an inlay made from a piece of the True Cross.  :p  )

Yes, Pignut has a unique sense of humor.  He's also a great friend.   :campfire:

Ahh the True Cross...what was I thinking.  I was actually going to go with a bone strikeplate made from a relic of Joan of Arc(for courage under fire) but your right Killdeer, the True Cross is more appropriate.

Ohh and I never sent Javaman anything, he's full of bologna.  Mmmm...bologna, maybe I'll have him skin the limbs with bologna casing.  Delicious.  Now if I could just find a way to incorporate the filling from a Suzy-Q into this bow I'll have a winner.

Remember Javaman, we may have never met but I'm like an itch in a bad place.  You can't ignore me for long, and when you finally try and deal with me all you get is a smelly hand and some strange looks    .

Cheers!

I was fortunate enough to buy that Classic Hunter at the Kazoo show and I absolutely love the bow.  It is exactly as what has been stated, it's fast, smooth and very soft in your hands and zero finger pinch for a very short bow.  If you have never shot one I storngly suggest NOT to shoot it unless you plain on buying one  :bigsmyl:
