They are EXCELLANT bows!!!!! Bob Lee built then in the past for Wing Archery. Now,the old "Red Wing Hunter" (back by popular demand) is being made by Bob Lee Archery

I think it would be perfect for your daughter.I bought a 40# Bear Grizzly for Kevin for his "first bow" now his little brother Tyler has his eye on it   :archer:

Great choice so long as it isn't to heavy for her.

I found out that it is an older one 70's vintage. $50 is the price he named. I'm going to look at it later.

Excellent bows for young and old alike. My grandkids all started with Red Wing Hunters and most still shoot them. $50.00 is a great price. If it is straight better grab it.

$50 is a steal if it's in any kind of usable condition.

I thought it might be a good price it was in the range i wanted. I'm going to look it over good it has no string, the man said it looked like cherry wood but who knows. He said that he bought it in the 70's hunted with it for a couple years and then it sat. If a bow sits along time will it get brittle?

I have one that is 45# and I love shooting it. Light weight to carry, lots of fun, and shoots nice.

stone knife, As long as it's in one piece and not abused, buy it. If it has any twist I'll help you fix it. I'll even make you a string. $50 to $100 is about what they go for on "that auction site"  :)  I have one and shoot it occasionally. I was going to sell it and the wife told me I better not. They are a nice bow for anyone, not just a beginner.

54" string will be too short. I always used 55" on my Red Wing Hunters. And 12 strands is great plenty. What is the serial number and do the decals say Div. of Head Ski or AMF? I can tell you the age if you are curious.

The decal says red wing hunter, wing archery co. It has a leather strike plate that says wink archery co. They both say wing and have a wing and an arrow on them incorporated in the word wing.

I also have one that I am trying to sell. But have considered keeping it since it does shoot very nice. It is a 46# 58" bow. Mine has the head ski co. logo on it. Does any one know what year this bow was made.  THe guy I got it from said it was a 1958 or 68 cant remember for sure. All I can say is I wish mine would have been that cheap. Thanks Hersh
