What snake skins are usually narrow enough for long bow limbs?

Haven't had any time to work on it much. I just got my riser wood from Fedora(nuther story there,See Fedora riser block post.).
My limbs are rough shaped and that's about all I've managed to get done on this bow so far.
This is going to be a busy month. I have several military training days to do in prep for my deployment to the sand box this summer.

As I make some progress I'll post some pics. I'm looking forward to working on it a lot more that I've been able to.

This is a pic of one I made for the wife, it is 68", she is shooting around 35 at her draw lenght. I dont know how fast it is but it sure puts an arrow out there
She said " did you see that?" He said "Of course!!!" She said " Why did you step in it then?"

The bow in the avatar is from a Bingham kit, 64".  If you use dacron string, it could be a tooth rattler at higher poundage but FF settles them right down. Good speed and a nice shooter. As long as you keep the limb bolts, shelf and throat of grip where Binghams has them, you can reshape the riser any way you want. The Actionwood is the easiest to work with for your first one.  Good luck if you try.

Fireman watch the video several times before you start the glue up, it'll save you some grief.

Good for you AND him Kenny! It is an honor to serve... your welcome.

I'm going to try to slip either this long bow or my take down recurve into a mobility bin and get some shooting in while I'm there.
