Just got back from the bush baiting bear and stopped off to read a few e-mails and of course tradgang.

On the way out of the woods I called my marine buddy who got shot on the top of the head in Viet Nam which left him paralyzed.  We had a great talk as we do every year on 09/11.

By the way he got shot 42 years ago today on 9/11.

I took time thismorning and said a Prayer for those that lost thier lives ,for our country, our troops and for our next President of the United States...I had a shirt on that had this Bible Verse written on it...Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord...God Bless, Keefers <")))><

I will never forget. Having seen the devastation first-hand the images and smell of that day are forever burned in my mind. God bless those that made the ultimate sacrifice and their families. I forever fly a flag in their honor.

My wife and I just sat in a line of traffic that was stopped for a line of 1000 bikers riding on behalf of 9-11.It was quite a site and made me feel good to know that this world changing date is not being forgotten.

I am sure it is etched as deeply in most peoples mind as it is in mine... I remember with a heavy heart the tragedy of that day and how it has forever changed this country and the families of those lost 7 years ago...

A salute to our brothers and siters who serve, and a prayer for those who are in harms way.
Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes.

It's funny...I was on the continental divide in New Mexico when it happened...hunting elk.

It took 3 days before we found out...we were so isolated. When we did, we thought it was a joke at first...then the significance of the situation hit home. Everyone lost their enthusiasm for the hunt, we all bagged it and took off for home.

No flights leaving anywhere..so I paired up with a guy from Florida and we team-drove straight through to Atlanta on Saturday...I took him to the airport and he was able to get a rental car and drive by that point..no flights still.

By Sunday morning, when I turned the tv on, things had changed...most of the footage was NOT being shown over and over...too much...so I never went through the whole thing..just snippets and still photos.

I stayed in front of the History Channel last night, watching the home video, personal stories- people jumping out of the buildings- just awful, awful to see but I wanted it burned in my memory- I don't want to ever forget what happened.
