are the banana shaped feathers loud? love the look but don"t want to put the effort into them and find them to sound like flying tanks..

I don't think they are loud,I hear more noise from a high shield feather.I think the rounded profile helps eliminate some of the noise.I think the sharp edge of the tail will make some noise if it's a tall shield.I like banana cut feathers,I've bought them and I burnt them.

me thinks the degree of helical could be a factor.. I have not noticed noise with 5 1/2 inch 7/8 inch high bananas- but gotta wonder about the degree of helical--- ?????  :confused:

the more helical the louder they are.  but they look great on wood shafts and really stabilize better with a large broadhead on the arrow
