I am Still Rounding up Stuff to begin on the Dryad Glue-Up I got a while Back. I think I am Almost Ready to go, and I was Wondering about What Kind of Stains for the Tonkin Backing and the Osage (I Think)Belly Wood? Its got a Bocote Handle, that I Hate to have to Cover with Leather, but without an Arrow Shelf I gotta do Something.
           Back to the Origin..........
Any and All Stain AND a Finishing Coat would be Greatly Appreciated!!
As Always, THANK YOU in Advance!!  :archer:

I'm about finished with the same bow....

Did you think about doing the super glue and leather rest??That's what I'm planningon doing, matter of fact, will be starting this evening on the rest.

Not sure about staining,I'm just going to use something like true oil or tung oil on the Osage and cocobola. Not sure if anything needs to be done to the bamboo??

If you like the way it looks now why stain it?
I have a HH Wesley Spl. bamboo limbs and bocote riser and there isnt any stain on it at all, looks good to me.

I  DO  like the Natural Colors, I just wondered what Finishing, Sealing, and Time would do to the Fine Colors of the Bow? Like I said  "Rookie Bowyer"  here, and I want to do it up Right!
Super-Glue and Leather Rest? Like Ferrets "Floppy Rest",     or are you talking about a different kind? I am Very Interested in Your Rest Varmint!! Oh, and How are you going to Finish/Seal the Bow?
Thanks Folks!! I  DO  Appreciate the Input!!  :notworthy:    :notworthy:    :archer:

Not the Ferret's,here's a link to the one I was talking about........

Mine didn't come out looking near as good as his,but it's functional.Very easy also.

Finished the rest yesterday, will start the finishing/sealing either this evening or this w/e,hopefully be done by the beginning of the week.I want to put at least 3 coats on.I'll be using Tru Oil,should protect from the elements, and only give it a slight gloss, but really bring out the wood colors and grain.
