Well guys and gals, I believe I am ready. I have been shooting my Darton recurve for a couple of months now and feel as if I am ready to hunt. I've been practicing with BHs for 2 weeks and at 20 yds I'm getting 6" groups. Last night after work I put a small pumpkin out and started shooting. It was dead with the 1st shot! I have a stand set up 18 yds from a feeder that sees plenty of hogs so tomorrow I am going to go get my 1st traditional kill. (Or at least give it my best shot).Wish me luck! I'll post my results after the hunt.

Good luck!

Aim low and tight!    ...Mike

Oh yeah, I've knocked down a few hogs in my time. I just never have trad hunted before!

Calm down, don't go out there for posting reasons, I'm convinced a lot of bead shot are made because people are thinking of the hero shot wile in the process of trying to actually shoot a critter, don't let the pressure of posting interfere with the joy of hunting, don't sit on a feeder, so you can make a sure kill for the message board, walk around, go looking for pigs, hunt, hunt, hunt and enjoy yourself, no pressure if you don't get a pig the first time ,or the secon,or third.

no mean to critisize, but I can see a trend.

enjoy yourself tomorrow

Be warned, it's ADDICTIVE!

Once you get one under your belt, everything else maybe for sale or on the back burner.

Take care and good luck on your hog hunt....Mike

No its not posting pressure. I have been killing hogs for years. I just decided its time to leave the compound and the gun at home. I will sit the feeder because I have a limited amount of time to hunt after work. If I spend too much time looking around it will be dark before I ever have a shot opportunity. I know hogs will come to the feeder right before dark. And although some won't understand this, hogs are vermin around here. I want to make sure of a shot opportunity to reduce the numbers. If I wound one I won't feel too bad. I don't have much in the way of ethics where hogs are concerned.

Low, tight and quartering away if possible. Good luck and above all have fun.
