I just bought a Palmer Double Carbon from a friend of a friend. My question is, my draw length is about 28.5. What would the draw weight be at this draw length and does drawing a bow past it's designated draw length cause any problems like take away from the smoothness of the draw or accuracy? Thanks.

It would probably be around 58-59# at your draw.  Drawing it 28.5" shouldn't make any difference other than increased poundage.

I have a couple older Bears that are rated @ 28 & I draw just over 29 with no problems, I'd say it won't hurt a bit. Frank
