I have an old Bear T/D. One set of limbs had some camo tape on them. I have removed the tape to get a better idea of the condition of the limbs. Now I  need to remove the glue residue but am not sure what to use that will do the job without damaging the finish. Any ideas??

Try WD40 on a soft cloth. Another option would be GoofOff, but be sure to use the right version. I believe it is citrus based.

I second the WD-40 always worked for me.

I always used 'Decal Remover' to get stickers off my race bodies. Works great on bow limbs for just what you're doing. You can get it at any Auto Parts store. Comes in a small aerosol can.

Naptha from a hardware store works well. Comes in quart containers.

Fingernail polish remover (non-acetone type) is second choice to WD-40

I had the exact same problem....after numerous attempts....I got stuff called OOPs at walmart. worked great....faster and less work than wd 40. Juts make sure ya use it someplace well ventilated.

De-natured alcohol. Won't harm the finish at all and removes adhesive real well.

So far I have tried rubbing alcohol, camp fuel (naptha?), WD40, citrus hand cleaner and thinners, all to no avail.

Will keep trying!!

Wow I'm suprised. no results? I personally have never tried any of the other above mentioned products except for the wd40 and I think that should have worked for you. Wd40 always works for me removing stickers/tape from just about everything.
