Yes.

So, dinner in deer camp in the Hoosier national forest... Rough trip. We got in late morning thanksgiving day and the place was loaded with people and sounded like a war zone (gun season here). No time to hunt Thursday so we baked some potatoes in the fire to go with one of the hams that my wife prepared for us. No pictures but it was good.

Rained out of hunting Sunday Morning so we made a nice breakfast. I spent Saturday trying to put up fire wood for the rain and working on my chain saw that quit on me.

Hunted Sunday after the rain let up. Temp dropped and the wind changed directions and picked up making fire management rough. Dinner was a cold sandwich, bag of chips and can of beer.

Monday morning my son headed into the woods without even having coffee. I don't skip coffee for anything so I had my coffee, some crackers and cheese and a can of peaches. I stuffed a few more crackers in my pocket for lunch.

I came out of the woods Monday to hear my son announce that he wanted to head home...the temp was going to drop more and the wind. I hurriedly tossed my stuff in the truck and commenced the 3+ hour drive home without any dinner.

Hiked the Knobstone trail and that is some pretty rough country.

We go near the Charles Deam wilderness area and a lot of it is very steep with briar covered ridges and dead fall choked creek bottoms.

It would be nice to have public hunting land, Texas isn't big on that.

I like it down there but I don't think I'll do it again during firearms.

The public land that is close (2 1/2 hour drive) is draw only for deer.  Same place I go to hunt hogs.
