Last weekend I trampled around some new to us public land with a great friend of mine.
28°-33° all day, mild 10-15mph wind. Wearing my favorite underoos, a baselayer top, alpaca hoodie, and my new Versa camo we set about for approx. 7 miles or so. First and foremost the windblocking ability is the best I could imagine. I'm gonna love this stuff from mid October thru the seasons. Only seemed to get too warm when I increased the pace after some whining about someone's legs getting tired. The frequent stops were not followed with the typical chills from being too warm. That could have been the alpaca but I never felt any wind breaking through. After a lengthy "intelligent" discussion (3-5 seconds) we chose to take a shortcut through the marsh. Just loved the sound of my solid friend heading into a 3' hole of fresh Wisconsin winter swamp water. Now with one water filled boot he allowed me to lead myself into a 3-1/2' detour. With 3 wet feet we scampered back the original(and wiser) path to the parking lot. That 1.2 mile trek was not what I had expected. Could have been the neoprene boots but I'd like to give some credit to the wool and windblocking layer in those pants. Never felt cold,  not one moment.
I had expected to be too warm walking in that gear and can say I was more than impressed. 100% happy in my investment and would recommend Code of Silence camo to anyone. Along with my Asbell wool I plan on enjoying much more of the next hunting season.

James, the Versa 7 jacket and pants are what the review was.  I'd also buy the lighter weight set if they made a jacket version. I haven't tried any of the more expensive camo brands, wool or otherwise and after this experience I don't have to.

Just bought the vest. Looks like good stuff.

Similar appearance to the old NaturGear pattern.  Have enough of that to last me through the Second Coming.  Pattern really disappears in the woods, on rocky, open Sendero's, dead grass, almost anywhere.  NG pants with a Predator Brown shirt and there you go.  Not fleece, but decent weight material.  It all boils down to the best camo is "Stay Still"!!!

While being very disappointed in their marketing team I have to say the Versa7 is very well put together. Quiet, warm and windproof. Merino baselayer and an alpaca hoodie was perfect for an all day sit. 23°-38°

I also backpack and Alpaca is very warm and lightweight.

I picked up the Verdigre pants and pullover in mid October. I've worn it with temps in the mid 20 degree range with a mid-weight base layer and I am more than happy with it. I picked up the Zone 7 vest last week to use over the pullover for the colder temps in our late season. The vest is sized to wear over the top of their pullover or jackets and it has a slit to accommodate your safety harness strap. Good stuff!

I got the zone 7 pants, jacket and vest. Also have the merino pullover. Really like it all so far! The zone7 pants do collect burrs but I knew that before buying it! I do really like the "Softer Look".

I got the vest and will be trying it saturday.

Looks like decent gear.  Might break down and get the vest.

Finally used my vest. It was great! Warm and quiet. True to size. Worth the money.
