Hi!
I own a Bear recurve Fred Eichler edition with #40 limbs. Now i bought brand new #45 limbs and my brace is now 9.5 inches just swapping
Limbs. Before my brace was 8.25.  Is it normal?
Thanks

Something is amiss.  If they're both the same size/length limbs, the brace height wouldn't change. Are you certain they're both marked no.2 limbs?  If so, they should be the same length, but they may not be.  Lay them alongside one another to check.

I ran into this recently. I have a Tall Tines recurve, 47@28, 58".

I ordered a new set of limbs, 52# @28", also 58".
When I received the new limbs I put the old string on. The brace height is about 1/2" different. Not a problem, I'll just keep a string set up for each pair of limbs.

I could use the same string but I prefer preciseness.

Problem solved... Limbs were marked like #2 but are one inch longer so they are finally #3   Probably marked on a friday pm 😁😁

Thanks

Hmmmm.  That's whiter I figured.  Good you got it figured out.
