Does anyone use and recommend a custom grunt call? I've heard a few I like watching hunts on youtube but can't remember the name of the makers. I have an acrylic grunt call that has a certain tone and pitch that really works but it's very easy to over blow and squeak. Done some google searches but can't come up with much.

We have a guy here that was a Sponsor for years and he made some dandy's. I have one he made. All the wooden ones sound more natural the the plastics. I'll think of his name in a bit.

For me learning how to grunt with your own vocal chords blows any grunt call away no doubt about it.

Terry...  R.W Mackey is the guy I think you are talking about I bought a nice turkey Pot call from him about 2014. I remember he also made great looking grunt calls but never got around to buying one. He use to be out of Colorado.

Thanks for the responses! Also found Cold Spring Game Calls and they look pretty legit. I've sent out some PM's and inquires so we will see how it goes.

Not familiar with his calls, but there's another avenue.

I bought a nice grunt call from Wendell.

Squirrel calls as well.  I think I bough a turkey pot and striker too as well but I can't seem to find it.  Maybe I don't remember.   But I'm sure I should have or will someday buy one of his turkey calls.
