Please chime in on flatbows that are made out there and the performance. I'm the new owner of a Two Tracks Ogemaw and it is a fine shooter but a different sound maybe not louder but different. I know there are others like yellowstone renegade but please if others have experience with them let me know. mine is 58" 45@28

I have a 62" Great Northern Bushbow and have 64" Kohannah Flatbow on order both are 40@28.
Something about Flatbows, I just like. They're not speed burners but fun to shoot.

You know I'm finding my Ogemaw is more than fast enough at my draw and I have tweeked with string silencers and it is as quiet as my other longbows.  It's going to be my go to this off season and hopefully go to the stand this fall.  I really like the flat bow design also.

Had a few.Great Northern Bushbow,Dwyer Defiant and Northern Mist Huron.All  mild reflex/deflex style limbs.I think thier stable and quiet shooting.Should be as fast as longbows with similar mild reflex/deflex limbs that are narrower and deep cored vs the wider thinner flatbow limb.Good hunting bows.

The great Northern Bushbow has a strong following and probably the most popular laminated flatbow made for many years.

Historically the flatbow limb was used by various Indian tribes.

My first longbow was a R/D bow made by Bill Stroupe in NC.  It's wider and has a thinner core than my ASLs and other longbows, but not as wide as a recurve, so I guess it's a flatbow?  Whatever it is it's well made and a good shooter.

In my simple way to look at the design the limbs are very similar to a recurve. I have a Kota Kill-um and the width of the limbs are the same as the Omegaw. The Ogemaw maintains the wider profile up the limb.  So to me sort of a recurve limb in a longbow R/D design. I'm very pleased with the way it shoots.

I have a very old flat bow that belonged to my Dad. It must be pushing a hundred years old .

elburg cherokee mag was one of the coolest flatbows I ever owned,,,  but I think for me flatbows were stable and easier to tune I always opted for the soft B50 strings and wood arrows with mine.

Where is the dividing line between a flatbow and other flat longbows?  For example, is the Black Widow PL a flatbow?  If not, why not?

Selway quiver says their LB quiver fits limbs 1-13/8" wide and a flatbow/hybrid is 1 1/4-1 1 5/8" wide. My Kanati LB is a hybrid 1 1/4.

Bowyers that sale a bow that they call thier flatbow typically look about the same and thier usually a very mild R&D or straighter limb like the some of the Indian tribes used.Great Northern Bushbow is a good example and others I have had or seen look similar to the Bushbow typically.

More like recurve width and not deep cored and or thick in cross section.

My Ogemaw is wider the entire limb from the fades till reduction at tips. It's a very stable design and shootable as well.
