It's here! This was a surprise, it's gorgeous.I wasn't expecting that.
Now to get it setup and figure out what arrow it likes.

I think I'm back in the game.
I set the brace at 8" and the nock point at 1/2".
Grabbed a 35# - 40# cedar shaft full length.
At about 5 yards, nock left about 2", up and down is perfect.
I backed off to 20 yards and just slight fishtailing.
And I still have 4" I can cut the arrow back.
I think I  will have a winning combination.

The sweet spot is 29" BOP.
Guess what, my draw length is 28".
And I have such good arrow flight, at 20 yards I can't see the arrow, it's like a lazer beam.
And the best thing; the arrow goes where I'm looking.
:goldtooth: :archer2:
And if anyone is interested, it's dead in the hand and very quiet.
Oh, and the arrows turned out to be just over 500gr.

Ya know Pine I read this and it has kinda been knawin on me.  Because all of us, should we live long enough, will go down this road a ways if not to the end of it.
I guess it just depends on what it means to you.  If it's just a pass time then I guess you can find something else to interest you and spend your time on.
But I suspect that's not the case.  I suspect archery is part of how you define yourself.  So doing what it takes to feed your soul a little bit of what gives you peace and satisfaction should be pursued.  Even if it isn't what you once could do, it's what you can do now.
Hang in there.  Don't let go.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

The bow is beautiful, Dale.

Glad you are shooting it well.

Anymore 35# is a comfortable weight for me to shoot.

I can't remember when the last time I was enthused about archery.
I'm actually excited about getting time to shoot.
I need to setup some arrows with Hex Blunts so I can do some roving.

What a difference 4 days and a new bow can make. It's so great to hear the positive excitement of your last post compared to the  first one. Bravo!  :clapper:

Thought I would let the 12 year old inside me shoot my bow today.

Was going to tell you to use a mouth tab. It's deadly I'm tellin ya. But see your ok. So just for general info for other old timers like me, look up Jeff Fabry on YouTube.
And YUP, don't give up!
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Rollie

Great shooting! Where there is a will, there is a way.
Nice looking bow by the way!

Ordered another dozen custom arrows for this bow.
So far so good but after about 10 minutes of shooting, I'm missing to the left about 8"-10".
I think it's from getting tired and my draw is collapsing.
But, no sholder pain.

I'm glad the 35# bows feels good. Work hard, but don't try to progress too fast.

How encouraging to see this.  Thanks for sharing your success, it makes me feel like I'm right along with you... the thrill of victory!  I can relate a little... I broke my right (drawing hand) shoulder last summer in a bicycle wreck, and spent several discouraging months with a lot of pain and slow healing.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.
