I have been glancing through the bow classifieds and I think the number of listings would drop from 6 pages to about 2 if everyone would mark the bows they sell - SOLD. This is the only way the mods know that a bow is actually sold and can delete the ad. Saying it is sold within the thread does no good, because the mods can't read through each and every ad to see what the last post says.
Once a bow is sold, you can edit the title of your thread to simply read SOLD. Delete your original title and rename it SOLD.

This is also more considerate for fellow Tradgagerer's, because if we see an interesting bow, we can read all about it, get excited, and then read the last post that says, "bow has been sold".

I'm sure this applies to every category of the classifieds, so PLEASE help everyone out and mark your items SOLD. Please take a few minutes and look back through your ads from 1,2,.... years ago and see if you have an old one you can mark SOLD and have it deleted.

Thank you and I wish everyone a very happy 2023!!

That is true, and I don't know if folks know they should or can edit it sold on the subject line. You should delete your original subject and then put in sold.

You might change the title of this thread.  It would help if it said, "Please mark sold bows SOLD in the title of the thread."  Or something similar.

People will read through quickly (if at all) and may miss the point.  They may not realize they can go back and edit their first post along with the title itself.

Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

I've noticed that also. On another note , I bought a knife from a guy that doesn't have access to the classified anymore, so he can't edit the add. I did post on the add that it had been sold so anyone else that happened to look at it would know, if they read all the replies.

Good catch. I went back and editted the title and added additional verbage to the body. Thank you for the advice.

Yes, its very considerate to the others that are on the classifieds.  Editing is easy, just click modify, and have at it.  :coffee:
