Yeah I shot a boar the outfitter estimated 250+ and got about 6" of penetration through the shield and one lung.  That was after another hunter had gut shot him and it was running across in front of me at about 15 yards.  That pig went a long time on one lung and a gut shot.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Nice again sir. Yeah, I agree, that's why I shoot 60-70#s instead of 80-90. I just don't have the time like I use to to stay on top of them to make it automatic.

Had great results with my 50# Centaur last year on javies and my one large hog. Trying out ant testing lower weights a bit for my Golden Years.

Fixing to order another 50#er.

Got any other pics of autopsy?  Love that stuff for eval and documentation.

No other pics! Almost all the pigs I shoot these days get cleaned using the gutless method.

Squirrel Hunter

Nice hog, nice shot, and a really beautiful bow. Accuracy is better than draw weight or anything else, as you proved. Just out of curiosity, what kind of broadhead (not that it would have mattered).

Bisch

Broadhead was a 1 1/8" wide German Kinetic.

Bisch, do you bone them out at the site or just quarter them?

Just quarter. Get 2 hams, 2 shoulders, 2 backstraps, and 2 tenderloins. And sometimes I'll take neck meat and trimmings.

I don't need the meat as I have 2 freezers full of deer, bison, nilgai, etc.. Most of the pigs I shoot these days get given away to some folks I know in town. Every once in a while I'll keep a ham or two to make pulled pork out of.

" 2 backstraps, and 2 tenderloins" - well of course!

Thanks, I usually leave the bone in on the hams and shoulders as well.

Nice work brother!
I had Ron King make me a 41 lb set of limbs for my Fox. I don't see a reason to shoot my 46lb set anytime soon. Like you, I'm shooting the 41 lb limbs so much better!

Way to go sir.  Nice spotty.

I started doing the gutless as well a few years ago, but I also take pics of the shield if sizable and ribs either broke or not and also the entrance and exit angles the head left.  Still interesting to catalog.  I think I even contributed a few pics to the hog shot placement thread.  I didn't post them but had them posted by some one else.  Anyway, nah, no problem on deer for sure.

Sometimes I'll cut it to look.  But most of the time not so much.  Years ago when I was learning I did .  Sometimes now if I want to eat the heart.  Although I've never kept a log or notes.  That said killing as many animals per year as Bisch does, not to mention the hunters he guides and cleans animals for, that much time and effort isn't warranted.
Even myself who usually twenty to thirty animals a year killed, gutless is how I go.
That said this has been a really slow year with only half a dozen so far and I still didn't so . . .
