Though I've been a member for a long time; I've always read a great deal more than I have posted.

I've seen a few post that relates to telling a story and I have a lot of interest in that sort of thing. As a former moderator of another and un-named site for the purpose of this discussion, I have for years written pieces from my past on that site that I like to post with the only goal of promoting the traditional archery experience.

My question is the following, would the readers of this forum be interested in this? Is there a guideline for length? (warning- brevity is not my strong suit) What do you like to see? I have hunts from all over North America over the last 40 years saved on my desk top. I like to write just to keep a memory of the things that happened.

These stories have lots of pictures and whether I can do it or not depends a great deal if I can get the pictures to post on a click and paste format from my desktop. If not, I might be far and few between between threads.

Anyway, it depends on what Mr. Green and you guys want....just asking. No big deal either way.

Yes, stories are always wanted, needed and appreciated.  Length doesn't matter, all at once or Charlie Lamb drag out style, we'll take em anyway we can get them.

As far as pics, you can not copy and paste, you will have to upload them from your computer.  Its not hard if you follow the format posted in the posting picture thread sticked at the top.  If that doesn't work, arranging a phone call with me and walking you through it can be done.

Thanks Terry! I guess nobody has to read them if they don't want to:)

The picture thing really isn't tied to the inability to post on here; but rather all the digital photo's were made from actual prints as in a time long ago; we didn't have cell phones. I manually made digital pictures from the prints and stored them on photobucket....so I don't have access to them anymore.

I'm sure I can figure something out. The pictures add a lot.

Where are the 'digital pictures' as that is exactly what you need.

I'm in,

You put them up Mark, and I'll gladly and happily read them.

We cannot bowhunt here where I live, so I love bowhunting stories.

Best
Lex
Good hunting to you all.
May the wind be your friend, and may your arrows fly true,
Most of all, may the appreciation and the gratitude of what we do keep us humble......

Thanks A Lex. I will see what I can do.

The digital remakes of the actual print photo's are in photobucket; which I can't access now with their fee system. (you know it used to be free) I'm sure they have all been deleted by now by PB. I will just dig the photo prints from my albums and take some digital pictures. It actually works better than you would think.

OK, so you took digital pics with a digital camera, and the camera stored them where so you could upload them to photobucket?

...Terry, like 20 years ago. I don't have them now. I've got the pictures for the first story re-created. Not knowing much about forums, does Trad Gang resize them automatically via the attachment file? If not, what size should the pictures be?

Yes, when we changed the platform in 2017 we gained that capability.  However, if you retake the pics digitally, make sure the pics are not too big as it will kick out those really large ones like 5600x4000.....

So, take them at a reasonable size for posting note printing.  Like 1200x 1600.  I'm sure you can find the setting in your camera.

Let me know if you need any help...
