I have gone back and read a few similar posts but I'm hoping for some info regarding the difference in shooting the two above bows. I have a 29.5 inch draw and I enjoy shooting both Long bows and recurves. I'm looking at either:
Shrew 56" Classic Hunter II or the Shrew 54" Lil Favorite recurve.

I'm wondering about finger pinch between the two
I'm wondering about Speed between the two
and finally wondering about smoothness of draw and shot between the two

Thank you for any info you can provide.

I had a 51# 56"classic hunter and a 50# 54" Helms Deep. Not exactly the same but pretty close. However my draw length is 28".

I can't say I have ever experienced finger pinch, so maybe I can't help you.  I will say both bows were made by Gregg Coffee and I liked them both, but if I had to choose I'd take the Classic Hunter.

I draw 29 and love the Classic Hunter II in 54" more so than 56". No finger pinch.  Henry Bodnik is shooting 54" CH II with 30" draw.  I've owned both the54" and 56" CH II.  I've shot 54" Lil Favorite at Shrewhaven and it's a great shooter. I would have no preference in either bow at 54" other than I just prefer longbow better

I was contemplating a Shrew and talked with Ron.  With my 65#+ longbows and 27 3/8" draw he recommended either, stating the 56" may have a smoother draw. 55-60# he would lean more to the 54".  Never got around to it, my stable is fairly full.

I have the CH II 56" 38@28 which at my 30" draw makes it about equal to my Blacktail Sitka 44@30

No noticeable pinch or stacking. Speed? It sure impresses me. It's almost as fast as my Sitka using the same arrows.
Just wish I could shoot it as well as my recurves. I do like a higher wrist grip. Probably not taking it to the woods though.

I can't compare the two, but I can tell you that for my 28" draw the 54" Classic Hunter Shrew @ 48# is my go-to bow for sure. I love the way it points and how it shoots.
