I also meet Clay Hayes at the PBS banquet in Reno NV he is one of the nicest and humble guys you will meet just a great guy. He volunteer his time and skills to edit the Russian grizzly Bear hunt video that Don Thomas and Doug Borland did I believe back in the late 80ty. Got to here that story first had at the PBS banquet as well.

It was fun listening to Clay recap his Alone experience at the PBS Banquet and give all the behind-the-scenes details.  A good tune-up for the Compton's rendezvous.

I am hoping to get a truckload of Tarheel bowhunters to come up with me this summer and experience a Rendezvous!

Mad respect for clay. I enjoyed some of his videos and then cheered for him on alone. Very neat experiences.  Gave up months with the family, not easy on that front too.

I'm glad you posted this Matsuri hunt auction item. Brings back many good memories. The hunt value for four hunters is in the $10,000 - $12,000 value. There should be many good mature animals on this huge ranch since travel restrictions during the last couple years. It is trad bowhunting friendly and many good pit blinds and tree stands available. It is a rustic camp with no electricity other than a generator from time-to-time.
