Used a loofa shower sponge thingey.  Worked pretty well seems like.

I am seeing two kinds of loofah. One looks like the plant  cut off the other is kind of a wad of cloth. I expect you used the wad one ??

Yes, the synthetic wad of mesh stuff . $ general or wally has them
