So I found this in an antique store today. The layers are separated on a spot on the bottom limb. Is this able to be repaired? If so is it even worth it? They are asking $50

I also found this bow, does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks!

That bottom limb on that Widow, and thus the bow itself, is pretty much toast.  Sure it could be glued back together.  But I doubt it would hold up very long.

Here's some info on the Ben Pearson Cougar. This was from a 1965 catalog. Note the price, so make sure you don't pay too much!   :goldtooth:

Orion you are right I was afraid its toast, I guess I just wanted a second opinion  :biglaugh:. It's just hard to walk away from when you see something like that.

I had an identical Cougar back in the day.  It was my first laminated recurve bow and it took quite a few lawns to be mowed to pay for it.  At the time I considered it a good shooting bow, and I suspect it still is.  Every single similar bow on ebay has the same vertical crack in the fiberglass.  Yours looks pretty minor, and if it was me and the bow was $25 I would buy it.

It would make a good wall hanger as a piece of trad bow history.
