I bought a deer tag at the beginning of the season and I didn't even get out once.
Is it still tag soup if I didn't even get a chance to hunt?  :dunno:

Sorry, it's tag soup if you still have your tag and there's no meat to eat....

I agree you coulda bought meat to eat instead of the tag. Now how come ya couldn't get out?

Pine, yes, it is tag soup. But that's all right. If you couldn't get out to hunt this year, next year may be better. You need to plan some serious woods time next year well in advance. At least your tag soup results from lack of hunting opportunity. I have often needed tree limb recipes to go along with the soup. Keep on keeping on!

Back and sholder problems.
I even had a guy that offered to come and recover for me if I got one.
But hopefully this next season.

A Hunting and fishing license contributes alot to conservation politics aside, I think weather your able to use it or not you've done more for conservation than people who are non hunters and fishermen and complain about it and the enviroment and take no real action.

I feel ya Pine.  It has been two years since I have been out during the regular season.  Just a couple trips for pigs at Granger with my Annual Public hunting permit.
