How to attach riser overlays

I think you need to use G10 on the next one for the threads on the sides

The small threads for the dovetails or for some quiver screws?

On very small threads like the dovetail,  drill the hole, fill it with CA, then when dry chase the hole again and tap.

For threads in wood that do not get use a bunch, this works real well. As long as it is a wood that soaks up the  super thin CA well

Got ya. If the CA stabilized threads don't hold, I can epoxy some brass inserts in.

If I continue to make ILF risers, G10 pads are a great idea.  Might be possible to premachine them with some locator pins then epoxy them on .
