I've had a couple of his bows over the years and they were all the "long" riser that I believe is 21", I hardly ever see the shorter handle bows, I think they were 18" witch made a 58" bow.
Does anyone know how many of the short ones he made? they seam pretty rare. Thanks! Mark

Nomadstalker

I've had 3, they always sported 20" risers. I've not seen shorter, but I'm no expert.

I have 2 of Dale's short riser,18" long with 3 set of limbs 2 making a 58" bow and one set that makes a 60". For my hunting style I have always preferred shorter bows.

The riser on my 62" Dye measures exactly 20"
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Thanks for the reply's guys, I'm finding out that the 18" risers are not very common.

cacciatore

I have to say that Dale came out with the shorter risers later in his bow building career following the trend of most bowyers. So the reason you'll see more longer risers is the longer time they are been offered. A buddy of mine a a RH short riser as well.
