To say this year has been a journey would be an understatement. I've been truly blessed. Not only did I get my 1st trad kill this year by taking a nice Velvet 9pt. but I also got kills number 2 and 3.

I went NC to hunt with my Best Friend.  Man was it fun. In the week I was there we seen over 60 deer and several bucks. On the first morning we had a nice 8pt chasing does. Finally had him at 17 yds and when I was drawing on him he caught me. I panicked and didn't get anchored and the arrow flew right over his back. Shortly afterwards a lone doe came walking by at 20yds and she too caught me drawing but by then I was already settled in and staring a hole through her. What a rush watching those chartreuse feathers blow through her.

We hunted a few more days and saw several deer. Just not close enough to shoot at. Then on day 4, I think, we had this buck skirt us and he went out into some CRP. We grunted at him and he looked. At that very moment we had 4 does walk right underneath us. That visual is all we needed for him to turn and come into us grunting his head off. I was able to get a shot off and was about 19yds quartering to me a little bit. Everything felt good and everything sounded good. It was right at the edge of darkness and we knew I hit him...just didn't know where. We climbed down and found blood and hair at the impact site. We decided to back out and would come back the next morning just in case.

The next morning we picked up the blood trail and found my arrow just 50yds from where I shot him laying in the CRP field. We ended up losing the blood there. But after a short walk found him about 100yds from where I shot him.

Thanks for looking

Congratulations on a great season.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.
