This is my 3rd year using a Traditional Bow.  The first year I had 3 shots and 3 misses.  Last year I had 4 shots and 3 misses.  I smoked a doe at 22yds and could not find her.  Blood all over the arrow but she bled very little.  Myself and a couple of buddy looked for 2 days trying to find her with no luck.   :banghead:  But this year on opening day in KY I finally got my first confirmed kill.  I had 3 target bucks that I was after and 2 more bucks that I told myself if giving the opportunity I would take them.  None of my target bucks showed but this 9pt (1 of my opportunity bucks) did.  Long story short he gave me a slight quartering to me shot @ 17yds and I smoked him.  Heard him crash about 50yds away in the thicket.  I couldn't be more excited.  I do know that I doubt if I will ever pick up a compound bow in KY again.  What a rush it was and I can't wait to add a few more to the freezer this year.

I'm shooting a 60" Zipper SXT 49#@28", 31 1/4" Carbon Express Heritage 250 with a 250gr. Cutthroat.  I have switched broadheads to a 190gr. Simmons TreeShark and added 90gr. insert/outsert sleeve.

Sell the compound, you're hooked.

That's the way to start it off.  Congratulations!!
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Although I disdain the term "smoked" when talking about hunting, I congratulate you on a great buck and shot.
