Not complaining I am blessed, around mi June the Wife and I started putting out the game camera on a water hole I have been hunting for years, here's some photos of what was coming in.[attachment=1][attachment=2][attachment=3]
Than in July the Dixie fire happen it was over 60 air miles away. We watched the Dixie fire for the couple weeks and then our phones started receiving emergency evacuations for Greenville and Chester no just 20 miles away then by the end of July and in to August all hell broke loose they shut down 9 National forest in California and here's some photos of when we went to get the cameras[attachment=4][attachment=5][attachment=6]

The Dixie fire is the biggest or second biggest fire in California history, so today instead of feeling sorry for myself I decided to grind some feathers and that's how my opening day be came a grind. My wife and I are truly blessed we still have a home when so many don't. [attachment=1] God Bless .

Tragic as it was/is I can certainly understand how eager you are to get in the woods. Do you now have available hunting ground anywhere nearby?

No sir both my deer tag are only good for the zone I drew them in and those are in the National Forest that are closed, My bear tag is state wide might look down to the south end of the state.

Wow! Those big fires are crazy!!! I was a firefighter for 30yrs, but in a city, and wildland fires always scared the crap outta me!!!!

Prayers up for all who lost their lives/possessions, and I hope you get to do some hunting.

Thanks Bisch I have lived in North California my entire life and never seen anything like. Lassen County Sheriffs arrested a College professor setting fire near the Dixie fire.[attachment=1]

Hey Blake it sure is a bummer this is the current state of our forests. Two years in a row. I hope this isn't a trend. We need some rain!

Yep it's been three years in a row that my deer hunts have been effective by fires in 3 zones I hunt and now the Dixie fire is just miles from the Beckworth complex fire that came with it 3 miles from my house.
