I was supprized to learn that he intentionally put on weight before going in... (he was up to 300#)
I think that was a smart move, like a bear building up fat for winter...

One thing I think more should do, is eat as much as you can, when you have it. With Native Americans, it was usually feast or famine. When a hunting party was successful, everyone ate!!! When times were lean, they ate what they could. (Elm bark) Trying to store food in bear country seems to be a big risk for loss. Maybe better to eat it than loose it? Stay well nourished for as long as you can.... After all, it's an endurance game.

Clay also attempted to put on as much weight as he could. He has a video on his youtube channel about that, but he said his metabolism makes it hard to put on any weight.

Your showings must be a week ahead of my cable provider (Rectum). Just checked the DVR Scheduled Recordings function and it's showing one each of MM and alone for Thurs. night at the normal times. I think last week was Clay's bear encounter episode.

Is there really a cable provider called "Rectum"? Seems like if I thought hard enough, even I could come up with a better name.

On a different note... I hope that the show airs tonight. That's a new family ritual every Thursday night.

My bad, I didn't notice the date 8/5 on the Scheduled Recordings. My mind's not the "steel trap" that it used to be. I didn't get Mountain Men either. Archie, my cable provider is Spectrum (formerly TimeWarner). 'Rectum' is merely my "love handle" for them....and I think even less of them today!

They probably postponed until after the Olympics for better viewer attention. I've noticed that with other TV shows.

The ratings are in the toilet for the Olympics. Men's Basketball, woman's soccer, and women's gymnastics ALL got crushed. No, I didn't watch, just saw it on real news site, not any MSM fake news propaganda agenda driven activist network. Maybe they should bring back the 'regularly scheduled programing'.

I tried to give a possible explanation why Alone wasn't on at it regular time. Pretty simple and plausible statement. I didn't look at the ratings for the Olympics,I didn't need to. I've always enjoyed watching the Olympics every 2 years. And I thought politics and bashing folks was unaccepted here on Trad Gang. I guess that is only directed to the liberals who are supposedly "wrecking pretty much everything they touch" and watching "MSM fake news propaganda agenda...". I guess my opinion doesn't matter here.
