I have never used trail cameras before.

I got a deal on a 3 pack of Muddy trail cameras. My plan is to place them around the mountain, over at the cabin.
I plan on getting some extra cards, and changing them every weekend, when I go over there.

My question is... About how many pictures do you get on a 16G card?? Should I just buy 32Gs??

Thanks, From the Tech Challenged woodchucker  :banghead:

Not all cameras will work with 32 gb cards.  You wont come close to filling a 6gb card in a week on picture settings

Thanks, Brother!!!

The cameras came with 16G cards, So I'll get 3 more. Thanks again!!

16 GB should keep you going for a long time unless you have a ton of triggers each day. I always erase the pics that I don't want when I check my cameras so that I don't run out of memory. I would guess most 16 GB cards would hold 800-1000 pictures depending on resolution.

I still get more pictures of birds and squirrels than deer so good that you have the 16 gig

I use a 32 gig card in the camera that I leave out all summer and it's usually almost but not completely full after a few months. You can usually adjust the delay too so that it fills up slower. So if you have a deer standing in front of it for a long time you'll get a picture every two minutes instead if every 30 seconds. That will keep the card from filling up as fast.

Oh, and try to position it so you don't have any waving branches or weeds in the frame.    That can be frustrating.   :banghead:

you guys don't get kangaroos and wallabies hanging out and triggering your camera 100 times per day?  :biglaugh:

Depends on the megapixels
16 gb
16 mp = 2200
  8 mp = 4500
  4 mp = 9000

32 gb
16 mp = 4500
8 mp = 9000
4 mp = 18000

Hey, Hap!!!! Good to see ya, brother!!

Well, the cameras are still on sale, so I bought 3 more.... (Hey, it's a BIG mountain!)

I'm heading over tomorrow to help my Brother In-law run his sawmill. He broke his foot and needs help cutting a few loads of lumber. While I'm over there, I'll take my new Ranger and start setting out cameras!!

Many Thanks to all!! Here's to another "journey"!!
