Got a new string coming for the my black widow.  Should be here Tuesday. Then going to work up some new grizzly sticks for it. 

I'll be rocking my 58" chinook for the second season in a row. Absolutely love this setup and now have that dark Seminole bow quiver from St. Jude's on it. 50lb at 26 inches with 400 spine gold tip traditionals with 200 grain jager broadhead  up front. I'll post my backup tomorrow.

I'll probably just stick with what works, that's my 60"widow SAV 58@28 using Easton 2020's and either a zwickey 2 bld delta or a 200 gr VPA 3 blade
Sometime during the season I'm sure I'll use my 62"widow PL2 56@28 with Easton 2018's and the same head choices

I'll be hunting either my 1-piece or 2-piece Sarrels Sierra Longbow. Both are exactly 53.5lbs at my 29.5" draw. My 2-piece is likely to see the majority of the action just because it travels easier in my small SUV. It'll be pursuing at a minimum squirrel, rabbit, coyote, feral pig, whitetail, and black bear.

I am planning on taking my Selway "Lil Shooter" out again,    60"  57# @ 28 with a Selway slide on quiver holding some Carbon Express 350s tipped with some 160 gr Ribteks and a couple of Stumpers / Grousers with 175 gr Ace Hex heads.

GDPOLK, that's an awesome set up you have.  Did you customize that travel case yourself?  I have a Pelican case that has never been used and you have inspired me!

I did it myself. I planned it all out on some gift wrap paper first in the mirror image of what I wanted to wind up with. Then cut out the gift wrap paper. Drew on the spacing with a sharpie. Then cut it with my filet knife as straight as I could. When you put the foam back in flip it so the sharpie lines don't show. It's pretty easy really. My arrow holder strips came from the quiver cutouts because the lid was corrugated and that was solid.

For what it's worth this particular case is a Pelican Storm IM3100 because it was the shortest case I could find that could fit my full length arrows with large broadheads in a bow quiver without taking any of that apart.

It's a little bulky but I travel a lot for hunting and drive an FJ Cruiser. It's nice to be able to have a single kit that's grab and go with everything needed for a hunt. I can pile gear/luggage up on and around it without concern. When hunting from a canoe, the case is waterproof and floats. When flying I can add a handgun and it's TSA compliant without need to worry about me having a knife/broadheads/gun to check separately. It just works really well for travel. I still prefer the look and feel of a one piece bow but my take down kit has been pretty fantastic for when I'm not right close to home.

I love the hex heads!  I have some local rabbits I need to try them out on. They are pretty sharp on the edges and easily penetrate my foam back stop.

This is my set up 365 days a year.

58" Bodkin Mohawk Hunter hybrid longbow.

Shooting a shortbow has elevated my hunting success and I will not be changing bows anytime soon.

I have some single bevel and some cut on contact heads I will be using on whitetail deer. Will see what punches through them easier, although I never had a problem before.

I bought a new Bear T/D back in 2015 from Big Jim. A-handle #1 limbs, and that's what I've been using the last few years. Got a Bear (Selway) "Grayling Green" bow quiver on it, loaded with cedar arrows that my son Tyler "Little Bear" makes for us. Tip them with old Bear Razorheads.

Last summer I ordered a green Mag-handle from Big Jim. It didn't show up untill after Deer season, so I never got to hunt with it. I put #1, 42# limbs on it, and a side mount Great Northern bow quiver. It's a sweet shooter!!
Maybe I'll take that one.....??

Garrett that Sierra is one sweet lookin stick. I've not seen those around much. How long is it?

I'll be bringing my uncles old bow with me this year. He passed a year ago. I did lots with him. Last real cowboy from NJ if you ask me. Tough as nails, didn't pull punches or mix words. His heart was gold though.
I was working this winter at my cousin Bucky's house (his son). I wouldn't accept anything but lunch as payment.
As I was leaving he asked me to wait a second, wanted to show me something. Was his dad's old Bear. Was too heavy for him. 50lbs at 28".
He asked me if I'd take it and shoot a deer with it this fall.
I did take the bow, he had it sprayed black, I'm leaving it that way. I made a string, changed the rest for shelf material and we'll be out this fall. I can't wait to send Bucky a pic. Here's one of the first shots I'd taken.
It's shooting Wapiti tapered cedar, thinking grizzly or bear glue on heads.
