Not sure if this was posted earlier or not.  But, the new season of ALONE started last night.  One of the contestants is traditional bowhunter and bowyer, Clay Hayes.

Watched the first show of year #9 of ALONE on Thursday night on the History channel.  Clay looks like he's a valid contender for this years $1/2 million dollar prize.  He'll need to overcome missing his wife and 2 sons - that could be his undoing.  I'll not miss an episode - I hope!

The other problem or thing that might hurt him is that he is pretty skinny.... I got lots to share if he needs some!! :biglaugh:

You can always catch a missed episode by going to history.com web site as they post each episode there after it airs.

One of the few shows I still enjoy watching. I was super excited to see him on there. Seems like he's got a decent chance at it.

For those that still have a provider, you can set your DVR to record first-run-episodes only, then watch them later at your leisure.

I envy you.
Anyway I have a feeling clay won.
Since it was filmed last yr I've notice clay splits his time between living in idaho and Florida in the winter.
Just my guess.  Wishing him luck .
Oh and when he said " I should have rushed the mountain lion "  I thought whaaat!.

Love the show.
Maybe one day they'll have a swamp episode. Begins in spring before the bugs, skeeters and thunder storms get insane. Southern version of frostbite and blizzards..

So far Clay looks like the best contestant. Good luck Clay!

I'll also be rooting for Nate as he's from East Jordan, Michigan.  Hoping he and Clay make a good showing.  Tough conditions to be sure!  I do enjoy me some ALONE time, but I also enjoy climbing onto a firm mattress and snuggling into 'My Pillow' each night.

They did a swamp season a few years back. The format was different and it wasn't as good as the regular format.
