Belly on my bow is blood wood, Walnut laminations and bamboo back.

Bamboo and bloodwood. It should be a looker.

The last bloodwood I got was so oily it bogged my drum sander down. 24 grit may have worked

Crooked Stic it will clog up a 49 Nicholson also.

Mike, I've had a bad run lately of woods clogging up my drum sander. I did some research and found a solution that worked pretty good the other day but it's a hassle. If you wipe the wood down good with acetone and let it dry quickly before each pass it won't clog up the sanding drum. I was using 60 grit doing light passes. If anyone else has any tips for dealing with oily woods I'm open to trying them out.

My swap bow is shipping today.

An update for my bow.  I now have all my materials and will be trying to get the bow laid up this week before I go out of town.  I leave Monday and will be gone for the rest of the month.  I will still have internet access and will be available as usual should you guys need anything.
