I have a feed sack course that loops through the woodlot behind the house. It's totally weatherproof and I shoot it year round. I also have my range with a few 3D's, a blob, and a bag. If I get tired of all that I still have stumps, or flight shots in the field, or round bales, or corn stalk stubble,  or ..............
There is no great fun, satisfaction, or joy derived from doing something that's easy.  Coach John Wooden

Before I moved 3.5 years ago I had a feedbag target course laid out on my 6 acres. I used cardboard silhouettes on them. It was lots of fun.

I set up the first few targets on my range this morning. The plan is to have ten spots set up, complete with stakes for adults and kids.

The ones I set up today are OnCore brand targets. They're 5/8" foam and sell pretty cheap! We'll see how long they hold up.

Those look nice, I'm trying to wait patiently for the snow to go so I can get mine set up again.

Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

I found this Easter or Birthday card that was a perfect size to photocopy. Made a whole litter of rabbits to shoot at. I just tack them to my backstop, but they could be colored and pasted/glued to cardboard.

Friend

Am seeing some great innovative ideas for prolonged backyard practice and entertainment.

Thank you for offering up your ideas. Would believe more than a few of those already submitted
will be implemented in some similar form by others.

Thanks guys I had some heavy tin roof material a fella gave me for free from his roof and I did green on top and gray on the sides and doors.
I call it "The Outdoor Play Station" so the girls can have fun outside off those electronic devices during COVID shutdown last year.
It's a yard ornament and I'm sure my neighbors don't care for it blocking the water view from their living room BUT I pay my taxes not them so I care less what they think.  :goldtooth:

Awesome to see the girls enjoying time with Dad.

Keefer;
Enjoy every minute that you can with your girls 'cause before you know it you'll be walking down an aisle with them and asking yourself "What happened ???"
Trust me on this one.

Closing in on finishing the initial traditional backyard stickbow playground.

-   9 Targets in place (at least three more 3D targets to be added)
-   5 Stations set
-   Landscaping layout complete
-   Sandstones hauled in from farm and set
-   Walkway set
-   Bow holders built and set

Open tasks:
-Install landscaping border -Waiting on delivery
-Set weed guard matting
-Mulch
-Wish locate at least 4 more large sandstones
-Implement improved night lighting as I frequently shoot after dark especially during summer
and sometimes during the middle of the night.

Range is currently shootable and has been shot by at least 5 traditional archers over the past 5 days.

There are 5 stations set with no obstructions on any of the nine targets....that is 45 different available shots

Current target distance ranges are from 11 to 25 yards. The range border was expanded today to accommodate 30 yard targets.
