I finally got a start on the victim. Pick two colors for accent stripes. I think the block will be more blackish with finish on it. The plan is carmel glass on the limbs but that could change.

Against a dark background, I'd say the pink or the yellow would look good.

I had an hour this afternoon and made a little progress and got attempt 2 roughed out. I already had a ring chased from the other night. I still need to clean up the lines and round the corners of the back with the rasp before the tillering starts. But I'm content at the moment.
