...listen to when you are working on bows. My wife like absolute quiet while she's doing her art. I like to have music and my choices are pretty eclectic. I like Mozart and other classical music but also jazz like Scott Joplin, Miles Davis, Benny Goodman and others. I also like Afro-Cuban All Stars, Buena Vista Social Club and it's individual members. John Prine, KD Lang, Peter Rowan, Doc Watson, Grateful Dead, Neal Young, Carol King and Rita Coolidge, Dolly Parton, Hank Williams, Jimmy Rogers, The Gershwins, all of Motown and Southern Rock and most Rock in general and so much more.
So, what do you listen to while building bows, if anything?

Classic rock, 60s and 70s, listened to country for awhile, but could only take so many songs about her terrible and bad boyfriends.  Ya know what I think - if you been married 9 times, maybe it's you....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I usually roll with metal or rock.  I like to break it up every now and then with some country and a little salsa or merengue.

I only listen to music in the car.  There's a radio on my bench and once or three times a year it might be heard playing country or classic rock.

In the car it's often tuned to a station that plays outakes from comedian sets 4 or 5 minutes per.  Keeps me chucking.  :)

I just talk to myself mostly...

But like the 60 and 70 classic rock music like the ole timer up there does.

Usually I'm listening to the shop tools and dust collection making noise. I don't like wearing ear buds or the blue tooth ear muffs and I can't play the radio loud enough to hear it much over the tool noise so I don't turn it on. For actual listening I like 90's alternative, hard rock and maybe a bit of classic rock.

I like it all...  Can only listen to so much Country...  The new Country aint Country to me...  It's like Rap...  It all starts sounding the same...

I listen to Pandora in my shop... I put on a music depending on my mood...  But if I got some real thinking to do and problem solving, concerning bow design I either turn it off or I turn it down super low and usually put on some easy listening type stuff...

Here is some cool stuff you might want to try that's off the beaten path...  Some of these are really good chill music if you don't want something in your face and just some background music...

   Karunesh.....Nataraj.....Gypsy Kings.....Rusted Root.....Benise.....Blue Stingrays.....Anugama.....Budos Rising.....Desmond Dekker.....Rising Appalachia.....Jimmy Cliff.....

There's an old  radio above my bench but I haven't turned it on in years. When I'm making something I get so focused that I close out the rest of the world.
If I thought of it I would put on some classic rock, older country, classical or even a good movie soundtrack.

I listen to public radio, so pretty much everything Pat listed. Plus Flamenco, Punk Rock and Indy Chill.

Shredd - I listened to Jimmy Cliff a thousand time while building my house back in the 70s! Still listen to him sometimes, The Harder They Come The Harder They Fall. You ever see the movie?

Otherwise, musicwise, I'm across the board - except I don't do rap ... or Facebook for that matter.

Crooked Stic

I have a TV so whatever channel that comes thru best with my cheapy antenna.

Cool...  Good stuff...  I seen him perform down here at a night club...  I will have to check out the movie...
