Or some betel nuts! :)

Frustrating day working on the form.

Frickin router got out of hand.  Well mostly operator error :banghead:  I'll bring it together with some bondo.  Was so disgusted i swept up and called it a day.

My router is a piece of do do.  It's a 1/4" and doesn't have the reach needed for a 1 3/4" form.  I make do by raising the bit out of the chuck but that really doesn't cut it (see that pun there? :) )

I think 2021 is going to be a tool upgrade year.  :)

Pitchers tomorrow.

I bought a new D-walt 1/2"shank for the same reason.
One pass gets it now

A 1/4" flush trim bit does not cut flush because they make them for laminates, It's close, but not flush :)
Makes a small ridge on the form second pass

I wish I had gotten a Dewalt, I got a good sized Milwaukee 1/2" and I can power it out with a 1/2 x 2 pattern bit...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Will be cutting out bamboo this weekend.  Waiting for some walnut to show up for the glue up.  Next week I will be in California so no work done next week.

Ah ya adjust weight with different length bow strings..

The process has begun...  I picked out a few pieces of Sheoak, vintage 4/2017...  Put the finishing touch in the kiln last summer...  Looking fo a nice grain pattern...

Picking out the right piece, where to cut it, truing up the sides, planing down, sanding down to size, looking at all the wasted wood, time consuming just to get a square piece of wood...  This by far is not my favorite part of bow building... But it has to be done...

I got some BAD streaky glass today, can't say where I got it.
And I have Bocote veneers coming from KennyM
Plan B is Red or Black glass.
I got my first shot today, my arm is sore now :scared:

Red AND black just seem made for each other.

Black on the back and Red on the belly...   That's how I'd  do it... Just like the Cruiser...

Should we ship UPS instead  of USPS?
