Cool and I see new buffing wheels?

Flem

Yes you do! I mounted them on a cheap Grizzly grinder. I think it spins too fast though and the wheels are not concentric, but hey what can you expect from HF!

kennym

I'm working on a form for a guy, 2 bow blanks, and a bow kit and not seeming to get anything done... LOL
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I believe a buffer is supposed turn at 3200 rpms, maybe even 3600, I forget.

Try harder Kenny ole boy:)

I started removing the bark and sapwood off of a nice, 2 year old osage stave, my least favorite part of wood bow building. I'm planning on an ALB but will decide that once I get a good back ring exposed. This will be my first build in at least a year so y'all pray for me.  :bigsmyl:

Flem, do you have your head just below that heater? Perhaps it could be used as as a hanging lid in a heat box?
I can't seem to get much done these days, managed to make glue from fish bladders though.
Most of the time drinking coffee and smoking a cigarillo.

Looking forward to your bow build, Pat.

Been a year since I made one too.

Bue I understand, it's been a year since I built a bow and now have one started, but the holidays, snow and a touch of a sore throat have me not working on it much yet.

If you can see my drawing in front of the boo.
I got the profile cut out and sanded the belly flat and tapered the tip to zero.
The wide part of the limbs are 1-5/8" 62" NTN  ?#@28"

The limbs will be glued on like this

I will make my Siyahs different than he did.
I have a old form for making .050 laminated Siyahs, so I glued up some sitka spruce

One glued up

Spruce and Bamboo, sounds pretty cool!

Bue, it's 1100 watts. Too much for a box!

Shredd

Nice...  You should be doing a build on it's own thread...   :)

Mad Max

Nope  I don't really know what I'm doing, just moving forward to see what happens :dunno:
