I bought the "Super Dust Deputy 4" Cyclone" it sets on top of a pressed cardboard barrel, the foam gasket is useless.
What kind of gasket do you guy's use?
Thinking about sanding the rim seal area and using some silicone gasket maker ?

Mine came with a 5 gallon plastic bucket with a plastic lid that snaps on the bucket, cyclone is attached to the lid.

There are actually 2 buckets, one fits down inside the other. I put about 2 inches of driveway chips in the bottom bucket for ballast.

Silicone and corn starch, makes a nice moldable gasket

It's 100% silicone caulk, I use Dap clear+ corn starch. You can vary the ratio depending on need. 2pts silicone to1pt cornstarch makes a putty like mix you would use if doing something like rolling out a noodle.
That pot lid in the pic above had a 1 to 3 mix, because it need to be less stiff to go in the channel. I've noticed the more starch=harder when cured and less is more elastic. Also the cornstarch makes the silicone cure really fast! With a 2to1 mix you might only have 10min to work with, maybe less.

I forgot to add, I have read that if you live in a humid place, you might want to dry your starch, especially if it has been opened. Apparently if it already has a high moisture content it will cure in a couple minutes.

I just lassoed mine back to the blower on the wall. What kind of gravel do yees guys have up there for drive ways?
Brown washed rock over clay gravel down here.

Decomposing Granite

There's a lot of that in one of my hunting areas.  The stench is near unbearable!  :)

I used elastomer weather stripping from my airstream, nothing special, an airtight seal seems to make all the difference, my dust deputy vacuum works really well now.
