The glue, ea40 seems to be non critical on ratio since you can mix equal or 2/1 so anymore I just use a bit less hardener and go with it...

Keep everything clean and mix well then mix again. You have time and neither component will hold a bow together by itself .

You need a impact gun to build a bow :o

I like you guys but not nuff to take pics of the glue spreading !

Here I have the stuff on the form and the zip Ty's in place, nice thing about them is you can tighten them slowly and the riser moves away from the one you pull tighter so it's easy to center it up on the form .

A bit too much glue , but like a weapon I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.... :o

And last one for today, if you wipe the glue down between plastic you can tear most of it off the blank and grind less...

Mad Max

looks like you could break those fades off :scared:
For a pro like you, you don't need no stinkin metal strip on top

My experience is that it leaves a lovely fire hose pattern on your bow.  :banghead:
Skeater who?

Buemaker

I forgot one time to put the metal pressure strip on and found it more difficult to tear the tape off as it had a hose pattern, but only in the tape. When using zip ties I pump it up to about 20-30 pounds and let it sit for a while then pull them out. With a metal strip I once left them in place until glue had cured with no ill effects. Without a metal strip I would think you would get som marks across.

Awesome details. I think somebody needs to do a full length video of spreading EA-40 on a 5 lam blank.
I know just the guy for the job :deadhorse:   It's not me!
