I received a new Acadian Woods Carbon Reflex XT Recurve several weeks ago. I've been enjoying the bow so much, I haven't had a chance to post photos.  Its a cliche to say the pics don't do it justice, but seriously!.  Tim Mullins and Sean Gancarcik (bowyers) are absolute perfectionists and the nicest guys you'll ever meet.  The woods are Cocobola and Black and White ebony. I've written a full review including chronograph numbers with several different weight arrows. If you'll believe it, the bow performs every bit as well as it looks. I will post the full review later. But it you are looking for a bow, I HIGHLY recommend calling Tim and Sean at Acadian Woods. They've recently launched a new line called the "Sportsman" as well.  Again, more to come!!!

Nice accent stripe pretty bow.  I test drove one of his longbows and was impressed with it, even though it was about 20# lighter than I normally shoot.

Sorry about the multiple photos.  Like i said in the post - Tim and Sean are unbeatable - not just as bowyers but as nice guys.  Will go out of their way to make you a bow that is a looker but also performs. 
They've just launched their "Sportsman" model which is the same design as their other models (long bows, recurved, take downs as well as 1piece). I'm going to post the full review of this bow (in pics) in the next day or so.  I was thoroughly impressed with the performance - especially considering its a light poundage bow (42 at 29).

I was impressed with the bow I shot in the mid 40's.  If it was mid 60's it would have ruled the world.

i agree.  im going to post the chrono numbers with the review i wrote. The whole time i was testing this bow i was really curious what a 50#'ish bow would do with a reasonable wt arrow.

I shot 400's with 125 grain tip and it was incredible.  Even tried some heavier wood arrows and it really tightened up the groups.  No chrono, but sizzling.

anxious to know your take on the woodies- why the groups tightened.  And I've heard they are quieter - was that your experience?  if so, why do you think that is??

Wood shot better perhaps it was closer to spine.  Heavier points?  I really didn't have arrows spined light enough for the bow I test drove.  Wood was much quieter. 
My experience with my bows is that any correctly spined arrow will do well.  I routinely group Easton 2315, 2219, tapered Cedar, hardwood arrows and 340 carbons in a clump.
