In 1980 I shot an old but smaller bear in Montana while sitting on a game trail.  I had the hide tanned but not made into a rug.  It has sat in a plastic bag with mothballs all this time.  Just didn 't know what to do with it.  Recently saw a bear hide displayed on a trapper pack, and got an itch to try something like that.  So, I made up a pack frame and here is the result.  I plan to install on a wall.

Looks great!  If I ever take another bear I may do the same thing.
