I'm shooting a Stalker Wolverine, with static limbs , FF string,51#'s @ 27 inches. I draw to 27 inches, and shoot off an elevated rest. I want to shoot Simmons Landsharks 160 grain. I have on hand 1916's, 2018's,and 2016's .out of that combo what would you choose and what length shaft should I start with. I know th one that shoots best, but I'm just trying to find the optimal combo. Thank you for all responses

This setup for my 52@28 Stalker Wolverine FXT is one lethal combo:

GT Ultralight 340...29 ¾"...100 gn insert...200 BH...~25% EFOC...~565 gn total

With that much weight up front, I'd go with the 2018s, perhaps cut one inch longer than your draw length, i.e., 28 inches BOP.

I think those bows are cut past center. I think the 1916 would be out for sure. I would play with both the 2016 and the 2018. Both of those arrows will get stiff if you cut them down to 28" I would leave them full length, and maybe start cutting them down. I don't think you can cut a 2018 down that short with just 160 grains, but maybe the cut past center will help.

Orion

It's because the bow is cut past center that it can handle/even require a much stiffer spine.  Even the 2018 might not be stiff enough.  It spines about 67#, that's about a .500 spine, actually. .470.

Friend is shooting almost the same outfit two spine ranges heavier -- .340 -- though the jump from .400 to .340 is probably due to the 300 grains up front.
