hi everyone. Tuning my Shrew hunter classic and need some advice. Its 54" 48@29. I can't see that it is center cut at all.thinking of a 30" arrow with 175gr up front on a 500 shaft. Does this sound about right ? Any other suggestions  ?
Thanks in advance, Gary

Sounds in the ballpark to me.  What is your draw length?

I have a 29" draw. Surprisingly  its pretty good with this 54" bow

My Super Shrew is cut to center, but not past center.  I'm sure your Classic Hunter is not cut in more than mine is, maybe less.  This means you need a weaker spined arrow than a bow cut past center.  Your 29" draw length and 30" arrow will weaken the dynamic spine somewhat.  I don't know that I could advise any changes to your setup without watching you shoot.  My guess would be that if you need to make any changes, it would be to a weaker dynamic spine, like a 200 grain point rather than 175, or a heavier insert if you like the 175 point, but you may have it nailed already.
